Martha Harris

Minister

Martha Harris is a native of Philadelphia, PA, raised in Darby, PA., and currently resides in Willingboro, NJ. She is a widow, mother of two adult Children, grandmother of five, and great-grandmother of two. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior in 1979 at Deliverance Evangelistic Church in Burlington, NJ, under the leadership of the late Pastor Eric F. Ricks.

Martha enrolled in Bible school at the Mount Airy Church of God under the leadership of Elder E. Morris, where she studied basic Bible. She graduated from the Deliverance Evangelistic Bible Institute with a diploma from Evangelistic Teacher Training Associate (ETTA) and received a diploma in General Theology. Apostle Eric F. Ricks ordained her as a Minister of the Gospel in June 2010.

She retired from Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA, after 27 years, during which she held several positions. She interacted with numerous individuals, including physicians, patients, family members, and fellow employees. Individuals have accepted Christ through her ministry, prayer, and encouragement.

The Lord has blessed Martha to welcome teenage boys and girls from the Lester A. Drenk Behavioral Center into her home, now as Legacy Treatment Services. She cares for and ministers to them as led by the lord. She maintains a motherly bond with them as they mature, graduate, and become independent adults, gainfully employed and able to live alone. Some have become parents.

Martha has worked in public relations and served on several Boards, including Christian Women’s Broadcasting Ministry, Caring and Sharing Workshop, Inc., and Eternal Life through Jesus Christ Ministries, Inc.

Presently serves as Chaplain for Sister Will You Help Me Cancer Survivor Ministries (SWYHM) and member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Willingboro Chapter.

Martha is actively involved in her church, Faith Deliverance Worship Center, under the leadership of Pastor Linda M. DeSeignora, as Director of the Women’s Ministry entitled (W.O.V.E.N) Women of Virtue Empowered to Nurture. She attends Bible study, teaches Bible classes, and has directed Vacation Bible school and children’s church for many years.

Through life’s journey, Martha has learned to trust God. Her Testimony has taught her to believe that nothing is too hard for the Lord. Her favorite scripture is Psalms 18:2’’ The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my strength, in whom I will trust, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
